Tweetsie Trail

Johnson City will be taking up the old Tweetsie Railroad. They will replace it with a new Tweetsie Trail. We’ll be right back.

Road Work at Happy Valley High School

A new project is under way at the Happy Valley High School. The road leading to the school will be widened this summer and a new traffic light will be installed. Crews are hoping this will help early morning traffic in the area.

Money for Fireflies

Want to make some extra money this summer? Well we no how you can. Just collect fireflies. You could make $12 per ounce for the bugs. Here’s a bit of advice: catch the bugs that have a red head with the black and yellow tail, catchers advice that you use a net, freeze them alive the night you catch them, don’t let them thaw or get wet, only insects that you catch this year are good.

Barack Obama Visits the Tri-Cities

The now Democratic Presidential Nominee Barack Obama came to the Tri-Cities yesterday. He was welcomed to Virginia High School in Bristol, VA. He talked mostly about his healthcare plans in an hour-long speech followed by questioning. The full event was broadcasted live Thursday from 11:45 to 1:00 on News Center 5.
