Presidential Debate

On Friday the Sen. John McCain and Barack Obama began their first presidential debate. The debate was to be about foreign policy but they mostly talked about the economy. One headline on AOL.com stated and I quote “Obama looks presidential while McCain seems angry”.

Federal Aid Granted for Drought

Governor Phil Bredison requested federal aid for 28 TN counties due to a drought. In the Tri-Cities, some of those counties include Washington, Greene, and Unicoi.

Bush Speaks on Bailout Plan

On Wednesday, President Bush went on all three networks and announced the urgency of coming to a conclusion on the bailout plan. He said that if we don’t act fast we could be heading for a long and painful recession. Some people say that we are already in a recession.
